Reading therapy for our furry friends

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – DID YOU KNOW: reading to animals can enrich their lives and help shelter pets get adopted?

The Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley offers a reading therapy program that not only increases literacy amongst children who volunteer at the shelter, but helps animals relieve stress, acquired from living in a shelter.

The Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley is always looking for new volunteers to continue to help these pets find their FUR-ever home.
