Effective 8/31/18, in order for your pet to receive prescription medications (Advantage Multi, Interceptor Plus, Tri-Heart Plus, and Bravecto), she or he must be spayed or neutered. Our mission at HSTV is to stop the euthanasia of adoptable animals and the only way to reach that goal is to prevent unwanted and unexpected litters and to encourage adoption of shelter pets. If you are unable to afford the fees associated with surgery please speak to us about available options.

Licensing
The City of Knoxville requires all cats and dogs must be licensed (Sec. 5-16 – Vaccination, Licensing, and Registration). Licensing makes it easier to reunite lost pets with their owners. These fees support Knoxville Animal Control and HSTV. Licenses are $5 per pet if spayed/neutered or $15 for unaltered pets. A current rabies vaccination is required.
