Welcome Anna, our new CSR & Animal Behavior Specialist
Visitors may see a familiar face around the shelter, as Anna Nichols rejoins the Humane Society team! Anna started as a volunteer with HSTV in 2016, putting in over 1000 hours attending events, providing enrichment, and assisting with youth education. She joined the staff in 2020 and spent 3 years as an adoption counselor, before moving on to try positive reinforcement dog training. Anna loved training and teaching, but found she couldn’t get the animal welfare world off her mind. She has now returned in a whole new capacity, as the friendly face behind the desk in the PetHelp Community Clinic as our Client Services Representative, and our Animal Behavior Specialist. Let’s be honest though, you can find her helping anywhere there is a need to help. She says “I’m most excited to put my wide variety of skills and experience to work, improving dogs’ lives through training, providing resources for our community, and hopefully keeping a few more pets in homes and out of the shelter… I really just love to help!” Anna shares her home with 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 1 introvert. On the weekends, you can find her training more rescue dogs, playing D&D with her friends, or laying in the hammock, throwing tennis balls for her Border Collie puppy. We are beyond excited to have Anna back at HSTV!
