Teen Humane Education Fall Camp: Apply Today!
Do you know a teenager who loves animals and wants to learn more about what it takes to care for them? Humane Society, Tennessee Valley is excited to announce our Teen Humane Education Fall Camp, a free three-day program designed just for teens ages 13–17!
This camp offers a unique, hands-on opportunity for teens to step into the world of animal welfare. Whether your teen is homeschooled, in public school, or private school, this camp is open to everyone who shares a passion for animals.
Camp Details:
📅 October 6–8, 2025
🕘 9 AM – 1 PM
📍 Humane Society, Tennessee Valley | 6717 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN
What Campers Will Experience:
- Kennel care and daily routines for shelter pets
- Group projects and teamwork
- Shadowing veterinary services
- Learning to understand pet emotions and body language
- Adoption counseling roleplay
- Hands-on enrichment and handling with dogs and cats
Additional Information
- No cost to attend! This camp is made possible through a generous grant from the Latham Foundation.
- Snacks, a camp t-shirt, and all necessary materials will be provided.
- Campers must provide their own transportation.
- A completed waiver will be required if selected.

To be considered, applicants must submit a 250-word essay on why they would like to attend. Space is limited, so we encourage interested teens to apply early!
